For nigh on a week the local weatherfolk have been forewarning us that we may be in for a quite a winter weather event mid-this-week.


If it all holds together as is being predicted, here in the metro area we could see quite a mixed bag of conditions, starting with snow flurries, changing to sleet, then to rain, followed by additional snow tomorrow. That, of course, hinges on the freeze line. A slight shift southward, and we could see miles of snow, or if it moves northward, as predicted, we'll receive a variety of precipitation.
